ACTION
Butterflies are usually very active. They are flying about, moving from flower to flower and only rarely rest. They fill the air with their light movements and flight. Their actions are instinctive. It's part of what they are.
Our actions however, and thus our successes or failures, are controlled by many factors -- one of which is described by Bunker Hunt.
Bunker Hunt, was a multi-billionaire when he died in the late 70's. Interviewed on television, he was asked. "What advice could you give to other people who want to be successful?" He said, "I've established hundreds of corporations in my life. I've made billions of dollars. I've found that it's not difficult to be successful. There are only two things required. First, you must decide exactly what it is you want to accomplish. The second thing is you must be willing to pay the price to reach that goal."
"Paying the price" seems to be what holds many people back from taking action. They aren't willing to pay the price of less leisure, less television and more time spent on their goals. It's just too hard.
In the latest summer Olympics in Greece, even "minor" sports like synchronized swimming required practice of ten hours a day, a minimum of six days a week. Michael Phelps, who won numerous gold medals, trained 365 days a year - even on Christmas Day. Possibly, one of the reasons he did so well was that he was willing to "pay the price" of training.
